30 years....

Okay, two weeks ago, I experienced my 30 year reunion. And it was, beyond my best expectations. It's amazing how much, despite time, despite LIFE, that people can come back together to celebrate a moment, to remember a community of friends and experience, as if no time had passed, and as if a lifetime had passed. Gone were old enmities and dissensions, gone were old cliques, gone were old judgments.

Only a true joy in sharing each others' company, and life stories, and shared history remained. And so, I can truly say, "Thank you" to my classmates of long ago, "Thank you for the memories, and here's very much looking forward to the next time we meet."

  1. Hi I missed you so much and of course seeing your better half again was wonderful! I just wish I had kept my wit up, like you have. I couldn't respond when someone said some things that hurt even in front of you and others and all I could do was listen in silence and walk away. I used to be able to sharply hit back.....I feel like a eunich, miss you Paul

  2. Paul,

It was GREAT seeing you and your lovely wife! It is good that neither time nor distance diminishes true friendships! As for wit, your wit and thoughtfulness have always been strong points! And you've always managed to bear barbs with grace. So...if anyone said hurtful things about or to you, I am sorry for that. It was too joyous of an occasion for things like that! I look forward to seeing you again, and am very glad we have things like this to keep in communication! Have a great day, my friend.
